Our Pain Program
Restore Fascial Therapy offers myofascial release therapy at our offices in Roseau and Thief River Falls, Minnesota. We offer two therapy options to accommodate both the schedules of busy people as well as the pace at which each person chooses to approach their therapy. As a physical therapy service, myofascial release therapy is covered by most insurance policies.
Your involvement in your daily life is key to the outcome of our combined effort to break up constricted holding patterns in your tissues and restore your body to alignment and balance. We will engage in an on-going dialogue to help uncover factors at the root of your pain and the self-care you can do in your everyday life to help bring about the change you desire.
Traditional Therapy Program (TTP)
With our Traditional Therapy Program, our aim is to assist you in backing out of your pain issues over time. For the majority of people with pain, the conditions leading up to the current state of health did not occur overnight. The tensions and tissue imbalances behind pain issues have typically been building for years. For this reason, it is important to be consistent in breaking up the restrictions and tissue holding patterns in your body. We may see you 1-3 times per week for anywhere between two to six weeks depending on your condition, and 1-2 times per week for several months depending on your progress. Your appointments will be one hour each session.
For pain related to recent surgery or injury, a physical therapy protocol may be recommended by a physician. Most of the time these protocols do not address the soft tissue element (fascia). Myofascial release therapy at Restore Therapies may be a helpful adjunct therapy to your total rehabilitation program or should traditional protocols fail to resolve pain and restore full motion.
Intesive Therapy Program (ITP)
Our Intensive Therapy Program is designed for two types of people: 1) those living out of town, and/or, 2) those desiring a concentrated therapeutic approach in addressing their pain conditions.
With our Intensive Therapy Program, our aim is to help you focus on a healing experience as your number one priority within a concentrated period of time. It is an approach that jump-starts your system into the process of rebalancing and realigning for long-term resolution of your pain condition. You will receive two hours of therapy each day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, within a 1-3 week period (depending on your availability). Our intensive approach allows a therapist to see you twice per day for several days in a row, breaking down stubborn holding patterns in your body at all tissue levels. Between therapy appointments, we will ask that you remain focused and give you tools to assist the changes the body is making as it moves into a healthier and more balanced alignment.
Most insurers will cover the cost of your ITP. However, it is a good idea to check with them beforehand to be assured of your coverage. Should you be coming from out of town, we will help you make arrangements for your stay. Please contact us if you would like to discuss an ITP: restore@restore-therapies.com
On-Going Self Care
Reducing or eliminating pain long-term takes responsibility for doing the things you need to do in everyday life to keep your body from becoming tight, restricted, and misaligned - those very conditions that led to your pain condition in the first place. When we can become aware of the influencing factors to our pain, we can do something about them. It is important to approach all aspects of your being, since all are involved in you living out your life each day. This includes physical movement patterns, diet and exercise, managing thoughts and emotions and your responses to them, and taking time for the body to readjust and rebalance through rest and relaxation. In this way, not only can you back out of your pain conditions, but you set the path for a growing sense of joy to make its way into your life.
A self care program is essential to creating not only a long life, but a quality life. Whether on your own or as part of a clinical therapy program, a self care program is essential to maintaining the change in your body that you are working hard to create. What are your physical patterns? How are you using your body every day? How is your posture? How do you perform movement? Do your movements include a full range of motion? Where are the stress points? Do you get moderate exercise? Your mental patterns, or how you tend to think about yourself, your life, and others, have a tremendous influence in your health. Stressful thinking leads to contraction of the body; peaceful and positive thinking keeps the body open and flowing.
Your evaluation of yourself and how you go about your everyday life will give you vital insight and ideas on how to change the patterns that have lead to where you are currently at.

Testimonials
I could not be happier with the results that I have received from my treatments. My experience had been that I had been in physical therapy, on medication, and doing about 10 different exercises, morning and evening, for four months. All of this had helped me some, but I did not have complete pain relief. After one session at their clinic, I was pain free for the first time in six months. I went home and cried. After each session, my pain stayed away longer and longer and within a few weeks, I felt like I had gotten my life back. Now, if I have a "flare-up" of any kind, I simply go in for a session and I am good to go.
I cannot thank them enough for their services. If you are having pain issues of any kind, please do yourself a favor and try this method of treatment.
